Planning and Scheduling of
Maintenance Processes – M07 |
09.00 – 13.00 |
Description of the module: To be a world leader in spite of
the fierce international competition, a company has to act on the 2 levers of
competitiveness: cutting costs by using production resources at best and
meeting the customers' requirements regarding delivery time by reducing cycle
times and keeping its obligations. The aim of this part is to run
through the different methods used to efficiently control the activity of a
workshop, to study the most widely used scheduling techniques, such as job
order management while taking into account not only the real condition of the
workshop (authorized and/or available resources) but also its specifications
and capacity in order to optimize its activity. Scheduling consists in planning
tasks according to time constraints (lead time, flow constraints) and to
constraints linked to the availability of the required resources. In production (manufacturing or
service), this involves launching and controlling progress of a series of orders
throughout the different centres composing the system. Scheduling brings a solution to
the problem of short-term production planning. A Gantt chart is generally
used to schedule the activities to be completed. It consists in loading the
jobs (sequence) against a process (people and equipment) and against a time
dimension (calendar). This module has for objectives: -
to identify the different steps of production activity
control -
to use the different scheduling methods to
get familiar with splitting and overlapping methods |
