Objectives and target groups

This IP project aims to improve and complete the academic professional training of undergraduates students (BA) from the specialities of engineering, manufacturing and processing and transportation. The scope is to support the bachelor students (1st cycle) in acquiring the core technical knowledge, skills and competences necessary to operate in their future profession, in a multidisciplinary and modern approach of logistics and maintenance issues as a support function for industrial systems. The project builds a consortium of universities that will implement joint educational programmes, curricular development, improve educational tools. Thus the project allows the exchange of good practices in teaching and learning activities at European level.

Main activities developed within the programme will be:

- teaching modules (courses, study cases, dialogues and debates, analysis and discussions, practical activities, exercises, brainstorming, simulations, games, teamwork and individual work;

- key speakers session with invited experts in the field of logistics and maintenance

- 3 companies visits (related with the domain of support activities – logistics and maintenance);

- field trips (2 visits of historical and cultural sites) and other social and cultural activities;

- evaluations and reporting upon the project;

- dissemination, promotion and exploitation activities (website, newsletters, project links, press conference and articles, designing and distributing of brochures, posters displaying).

Expected outputs

As a result of the IP, the students should be aware and gain experience on the actual challenges in the field of logistics and maintenance. They will be able to use cross-cultural communication skills and competences in a global labour market and will be able to adopt a knowledge seeking culture in their field of activity. There will be created also an innovative frame for internationally teaching and learning in the IP topic. 6 ECTS credits will be awarded to the participating students.

The expected outputs will be: the IP study programme itself; the educational plan/curricula; teaching materials (on-line, printed and on CD) and evaluation forms (on-line and printed); collection of case studies reports and analysis from the students; project reports; promotion, dissemination and exploitation activities and products (website with on-line teaching materials and evaluation forms, posters, brochure, logo of the IP, press articles); collaboration protocol for future partners cooperation; experiences; know-how; managerial lesson; best practice exchange.
